Let the day sit lighter
UK-based counselling and psychotherapy with a qualified human. When ‘fine’ isn’t the full story, settle into a deeply human space for steady one-to-one sessions from the comfort of your corner.
Welcome
Come as you are, even when nothing makes sense.
especially then.
here’s the thing
Most of us carry more than we show. The pressure, the worry, the hum of an inner critic. Old patterns that don’t quite fit anymore. Struggling to settle or finding that settling feels like being trapped. The weight of no longer feeling like yourself, or not quite landing on who that even is. In this calm corner, the real story gets airtime, the pace is steady, and life feels less clenched.
therapy, really?
It starts with turning up as you are. The parts you tuck away, the stories you don’t say out loud, the patterns that keep looping. We don’t rush. We sit with it, ask good questions, and pay attention to your body as well as your words. This is steady, relational therapy that helps you feel more like yourself.
Why Therapy?
Because real change takes more than a book or a brisk walk. Therapy gives you a steady relationship you can lean on. We slow things down, say the real words, and pay attention to what lands. It isn’t advice from the outside. It’s work we do together, from the inside out. Small shifts stack. Life starts to sit lighter.
our approach.
We put the human first. The relationship between us is the work, and that’s where change starts. We pay attention to your mind and your nervous system. Sessions are steady and collaborative. All of you gets to be here, not just the polished bits.
Yes, really.
Yes, really.
Hey there
I’m Liz.
A UK-based relational psychotherapist, trained at the Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute.
Being human doesn’t come with a manual.
Together, we’ll navigate the stuck feelings you can’t name, the blurring between past pain and present overwhelm, using therapy that’s more about feeling safe and understood than ticking boxes.
When words fall short, we’ll turn to the body, working with trauma-informed, shame-aware, relational therapy that can hold all of you, even the parts you keep out of sight.
You don’t have to earn being here.
As a BACP member I work within the BACP Ethical Framework, keeping an evidence-informed, reflective, thoughtful stance. I believe therapy should feel human and doable. I hold a calm corner for big feelings to settle and feet to feel steadier. I favour steady over shiny, and honesty over hurry. You’re welcome even if everything reads fine on paper. You don’t need perfect words to start; life is messy, and that’s allowed.
We all feel wobbly, sometimes. This is a space where you don’t have to explain.
Where being you, all of you, is enough.
